How an error is handled
Wall Math is published by Danorie. This page is the policy; the log at the end is the record. When an error affects a result, the affected function or claim is paused first, then the issue is reproduced, then the correction is verified before it ships. Fixing a visible symptom and leaving the cause is not a correction. When a material change alters guidance a reader may already have acted on, the change is explained here rather than made quietly.
What counts as a correction
A wrong number, a formula that rounds the wrong way, a misquoted source, a stated fact the source does not support, or advice the tool itself contradicts. Typographical fixes, rewording for clarity and added examples are edits, not corrections, and they are not listed here. The test is whether a reader who acted on the old version would have bought something different.
Review dates mean review
A source review date is not renewed because a scheduled job ran. Rechecking that a URL still loads does not confirm the measurements or the conclusions on it. A date on a page means a person opened the source that day and read the sentence the page relies on.
How to report one
Email contact@danorie.com, a mailbox read by the operator, with the page, the values you entered and the result you expected. A reproducible case is answered faster than a description, because the first thing that happens is an attempt to reproduce it. The contact page lists what to include.
Corrections log
Entries are added with the date, the page, what the page said before and what it says now.
2026-09-26 — An L-shaped room in laminate. The guide told readers to put both rectangles into the flooring calculator. The calculator takes one rectangle at a time and says so in its own help text, so the instruction could not be followed as written. It now says to add the two areas on paper and run the total once. No measurement, carton figure or box count changed.
2026-09-28 — Closet plus hallway. The flooring calculator’s help text was rewritten the same day to say “measure each rectangle separately… then add the areas and run the total once.” This guide quoted the earlier wording and argued against advice the tool no longer gives, so the quotation and the paragraph around it were updated. The carton counts, the tables and the instruction to add the areas on paper are unchanged.
